In the summer term 2025 a mixed lecture and seminar on "Surprises in Quantum Mechanics" is offered. The course will consist of lectures on different topics of quantum mechanics, introducing several so-called paradoxa and puzzles, and students seminar style presentation explaining the topics (and their solutions) in more detail covering both theoretical and experimental aspects.

To receive the credit points (4 CP in Elective Advanced Lectures) students have to give such a presentation, there is no further exam.

Interested students should have experience in doing calculations in quantum mechanics, as preparation serves e.g. successful participation in physics606 (Advanced Quantum Theory).
