Office of Family Services
The Office of Family Services contributes to a better compatibility of science/career/studies and family. We provide advice to employees and students of the University of Bonn around the topics of childcare, maternity protection, parental leave, care of relatives and more.
Gender Equality Office
The Gender Equality Office is committed to promoting equal opportunities throughout the university and provides advice and support in cases of discrimination and sexual harassment.
Inclusive University
The University of Bonn advocates the dismantling of exclusion mechanisms in order to enable more participation and inclusion-sensitive study and work conditions - regardless of a person's gender, age, origin, religion, education, disabilities, or other individual characteristics.

Advice and Coaching
The University of Bonn offers all its members a diverse range of consulting and coaching services. Whether you have a question about your job or are facing some personal challenges, we can support you in any circumstance.
Psychosocial counseling and conflict resolution for employees
The counseling service is open to all employees of the University of Bonn, the University Hospital Bonn and the Hochschule Bonn- Rhein- Sieg on all individual, social and career-related topics.

The committees elected by the employees represent the interests of the technical and administrative staff as well as the scientific staff.
Specifically for students
Lecturers of Trust
Liaison lecturers are elected by the physics/astronomy students and are the point of contact if you have doubts about your studies or problems with lecturers or experience discriminatory behavior in everyday university life.
Studying with health impairments
Students who are impaired in their studies due to a disability or a chronic-somatic, neurodivergent, mental illness and/or a partial performance disorder can find counselling and support from the Representative for Students with Disabilities or Chronic Illnesses.
Advising and Service
The University of Bonn offers a wide range of advising opportunities and services for you to use at all stages of university studies. Our advising and service network is here to help you with everything related to academic orientation, application and enrollment, degree progression, academic problems, personal challenges, stays abroad and career counseling. These services are supplemented by various student-run advisory bodies and the services of Studierendenwerk Bonn in the areas of funding, housing and social affairs.
